Overview

We understand how complicated taking care of you and your family can be. CRIS Senior Information Services can help you navigate life’s difficult questions, scenarios, and choices, all while keeping you at the driver’s seat.

What We Do

SIS provides options counseling, information, agency referrals and services to those over 60 and limited services to those under 60 (if disabled). Services include assistance with LIHEAP, Benefits Access Program, Medicare Part D / Supplements, workshops and distribution of Farmer’s Market coupons.

We can provide information and assistance to help identify appropriate services and to ensure that you have the opportunity to receive the benefits you are entitled to.

What is SHIP?
The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free counseling service provided by the State of Illinois. SHIP counselors provide you with information you need to make educated decisions about your insurance.

SHIP counselors can answer questions about:

  • Medicare Supplemental Insurance
  • Medicare Advantage Plans
  • Prescription Drug Coverage
  • Long-term Care Insurance
  • Medicare Claims and Appeals
